Account
Delete an Autoimmune Compass account.
How authenticated deletion works, what it covers and what may need to be retained.

1) How to delete your account
Autoimmune Compass is operated by SPOTLIGHT VENTURES LTD, company number 17076611, registered in England and Wales.
- Open Autoimmune Compass and go to Profile.
- Use the Delete account action inside the account controls.
- If you cannot access the app, email info@spotlightventures.co.uk and ask for account deletion support.
- Email support is a fallback route. We may ask you to verify control of the account before taking action, and we will not confirm whether an email address has an account until appropriate verification is complete.
2) Cancel store billing separately
Deleting your Autoimmune Compass account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play auto-renewing subscription.
- To prevent future charges, use Manage subscription in the app before deletion where possible, or manage it directly through Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.
- You may still delete your Autoimmune Compass account immediately without cancelling first. Deletion is not blocked by an active subscription. If you delete first, cancel directly with Apple or Google afterwards.
- Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues until the end of the paid period, unless the store refunds or revokes it. Account deletion does not itself create a right to a refund; billing and refunds are governed by the applicable store.
3) What deletion covers
- Your hosted authentication user and live account access are removed.
- Directly owned account-linked rows are removed by the deletion flow, including profile and hosted food preferences, email preferences and active preference tokens, push-device, access-grant, contribution, subscription-entitlement, point wallet, upvote, review, access-review, submitted-place, place-correction, recipe, event, and related pending media rows where the database owns them by your account.
- Some operational records are de-identified by removing the account link while keeping the underlying business, moderation, or audit record.
- Limited audit, moderation, abuse-prevention, legal, security, and support records may be retained where necessary.
- Operational deletion audit and security/rate-limit records are normally reviewed or removed within 24 months. Records needed for legal claims, disputes, tax/payment evidence, serious abuse prevention, or regulatory compliance may be retained for up to 6 years where necessary.
- The account deletion action does not directly erase provider-managed App Store, Google Play, email-delivery, operating-system, or similar records. We delete or request deletion from service providers where required and technically available, but providers may retain limited billing, suppression, security, delivery, tax, dispute, or legal records under their own obligations.
4) What happens on your device
- Saved places, events and recipes, the Supabase session, access/profile state, device metadata used for app request protection, food preferences, review activity, queued contributions and copied pending photos, notification registration cache, and dignity-tool or sound-cover companion details are cleared from the current device after successful in-app account deletion.
- App language may remain as a device accessibility preference.
- Email or support-assisted deletion cannot clear local data on a device we cannot access. If you used support email instead of the in-app Delete account action, remove the app or clear app storage to remove local app data from that device.
5) Public request security
- The primary deletion path is the authenticated in-app Delete account action.
- A public web or email-assisted request receives a generic acknowledgement and does not reveal whether an account exists before verification. Requests may be rate-limited and audited for security and abuse prevention.
- A public deletion request does not bypass identity verification or the in-app authenticated deletion flow.
